2017-2018 Newtown Family Business Directory

For NES Families, by NES Families

The NES PTO invites all Newtown Elementary families to help create--and subsequently utilize--the Newtown Elementary School Family Business Directory. This online resource will be a listing of all businesses and services owned and/or operated by NES community members. The purpose of the NES Business Directory is to bring together NES families with those services, volunteers and businesses available to, and operated within, the NES community.

Do you provide childcare or tutoring services? Are you a financial planner or a realtor? Do you run an HVAC company or tune pianos? Perhaps you own a catering business or a hair salon? If you are a part of the NES community (i.e. a NES family, teacher, staff member, etc.), then we want to hear from you!

Have you ever thought, I wish I knew a local babysitter? Or, I wish I had a trustworthy recommendation for a plumber? Or, I need to check out a new local lawn service? Then, the NES Family Business Directory will be your new favorite guide!

The NES PTO website will advertise NES family businesses or services with relevant contact details in an open online resource. The NES PTO believes that such a business directory will foster relationships among parents, families, staff and the NES community at large. A scaled advertising fee will be charged to advertisers, but the resource will be openly available to all and distributed freely via website, list serves and Facebook. Funds raised by the creation of this business directory will directly support school activities, projects and events throughout the year.

The NES PTO urges all NES families to actively participate in the creation of this Family Business Directory, to make it a useful resource and a resounding success! Spread the word…it’s time to get down to BIZ-NES!

The PTO will provide details early in the school year on how to advertise your services or business, and we will announce the launch of the directory as soon as possible.  Please stay tuned!
